Okay, you're thirsty already like me, right? So in a challenge to stay hydrated, even if it is turning winter here in Minnesota I need something that tastes yummy in my water but without the icky ingredients you can find in some "healthy" drinks. So, are you ready for an easy recipe? Good! I am all about easy and throwing ingredients that I have in my kitchen in my mason jar. Here you go!
Here you go!
In one quart size jar add water 3/4 of the way to the top. If you have Kombucha made up, you can add some of that to the water too.
Here are my favorite add-ins but definitely make it your own based on likes and dislikes:
1/2 t. cinnamon
grate fresh ginger into the jar or add 1/4 t. ground ginger
2 T. ACV (apple cider vinegar) less or more depending on what you like.
a pinch salt
a pinch of turmeric powder
*if you like it a touch sweet, add in maple syrup or honey.
SHAKE it up! And try not to gulp it down in one sitting.
This is a really good drink to have around if you are feeling "under the weather" or if you need an energy boost instead of pouring yourself an afternoon cup of coffee (ah, hem Joy...).
